Moores donates new kitchen to family support charity

Yorkshire-based kitchen manufacturer Moores has donated a brand new kitchen to family support charity Home Start Lorn’s headquarters.

Partnering with Link Group and property developer, C~urb, the new kitchen was installed at the charity’s Oban office. Moores says the kitchen is intended to be more than just a functional space, and is designed to be a safe and welcoming environment where local families can learn to cook nutritious meals and budget effectively.

Home Start Lorn has supported families across the West Highlands since 1988. The organisation offers one-to-one support, friendship, and practical help to ensure children have a secure and happy start in life.

“Moores have worked in partnership with Link and C~urb for many years,” said David Rawle, Moores sales director. “The positive impact this important initiative at the Home Start Headquarters in Oban will have in the community during challenging times is something we are very proud to be a part of.”

Hannah Gillies, manager at Home Start Lorn, also added: “Meals often bring families and communities together. Thanks to this new kitchen, children and families will not only enjoy delicious home-cooked meals but also gain valuable skills to prepare affordable and nutritious food at home.”

In other news, Moores recently held its annual employee awards ceremony, with its collective workforce said to have contributed over 1,000 combined years of service to the company. In total, 56 members of the Moores team were recognised for their long-standing service, with almost a quarter of its total workforce having been with the business for more than 20 years each.
