New chief sales officer for Häfele

Furniture fittings distributor Häfele has appointed Gemma McRae as its new chief sales officer for key accounts, who brings a unique insight to the role as a former customer of the company.

After beginning her career working in account management for stationary giant BIC, McRae eventually joined Travis Perkins, being promoted to regional director before becoming marketing director at its kitchens and joinery arm Benchmarx. She then took roles as group operations director and managing director in the power tools sector, before joining Häfele earlier this year.

In her new role, Häfele says McRae will manage the business’ salesforce, with a particular focus on key accounts to developing new strategies to drive revenues with these customers.

She will reportedly work alongside Gareth Bevan, who was appointed as Häfele’s chief sales officer in 2019, and who will now focus specifically on trade sales and merchants.

“As a former Häfele customer, I bring a unique perspective. I’ve experienced firsthand the company’s outstanding people and culture, and I also understand what truly matters to end users,” McRae commented.

“My motto is ‘never stand still’, and that mindset resonates throughout the business. There’s an unwavering energy and relentless determination to lead the market and reinvest in the areas our customers count on most. I’m incredibly proud to now be part of the Häfele team.”
