Steve Breen, the former UK head of bathroom supplier VitrA, has just been announced as the new European commercial director for Eczacıbaşı Building Products, VitrA’s parent company.
Breen joined VitrA Bathrooms UK in July of 2022, and worked as the company’s country director until January of this year. After a becoming CEO of Julian Bowen Furniture, he is now taking up the mantle at Eczacıbaşı. Prior to his time at VitrA, Breen also worked at Electrolux, Ideal Standard and AkzoNobel Coatings.
According to the company, he had an extremely positive impact on VitrA by expanding its UK sales team. In addition, he also developed new retail partner initiatives and oversaw major product launches.
Turkish-based Eczacıbaşı Building Products Group claims to have “the widest product range and biggest production capacity in its industry”. It operates 12 production plants across four countries, and says it has an annual production capacity of over 5.6 million pieces of ceramic sanitaryware.
