Fittings manufacturer Blum UK has announced a brand new leadership team, which includes the appointment of new managing director, Matthew Glanfield.
Former managing director Mark Richardson retired from his position at the end of June, and as a result, Glanfield has been named as his successor.
Glanfield first started at the company in 2018, and prior to his promotion, worked as Blum UK’s technical manager. According to the company, he will now oversee its management team, as well as operations and the strategic direction of the business.
The company has also clarified that Richardson will remain in the business until he leaves in 2025, and will work to support the new team and share his experience during this time.
Blum UK’s former sales and marketing director, David Sanders, will transition into a new role as international sales and marketing consultant to the company’s global subsidiaries. However, the company says he will also continue to remain a director of Blum UK.

Other changes include Ben Cullum’s appointment to the role of sales director. Cullum has worked for the company for over 10 years, which the company says has afforded him a strategic vision and a deep understanding of the UK market.
Additionally, Ben Muirhead will now work as head of business development & national sales manager. Blum UK says he has built up an extensive network of loyal customers and trusted partners over his past decade with the company.
Ina Kacenaite has been promoted to the role of head of HR & development, with the company saying she is “an expert in people development”, she is also said to be adept at “nurturing talent, fostering growth and empowering individuals to reach their full potential”.
Priti Briscoe is Blum UKs new head of operational processes and projects. The company says she has extensive business knowledge spanning multiple businesses, and has also worked for Blum for over a decade.
Finally, Matthew Walmsley is Blum UK’s new head of sales controlling & international exchange. Described as the team’s “most seasoned neat member”, the company says he will spearhead its goals in international exchange with global partnerships.
In other news, Blum UK recently partnered with the British Institute of KBB Installation (BiKBBI) to launch a new initiative focused on increasing the number of compliant installers.
