Wödår re-launches following “total rebrand”

Leeds-based hot water tap company Wödår has re-launched itself this year, releasing a range of new products and retailer support materials as part of a “total re-brand”.

Wödår is releasing eight new hot tap models, along with five kitchen taps as part of its efforts to re-launch the brand in the UK market.

In addition, the re-launch is being supported by a complete refresh of the brand’s website. To further support retailers, Wödår’s new website will also include a new trade portal for retail partners, and the company has released a new 104-page full-colour brochure.

Wödår was first launched in the UK in 2022, by ex-Frontline director Michael Sammon. Speaking to kbbreview at the time, Sammon said that the company was inspired by the meteoric rise in popularity of hot tap products after COVID, but that the company also wanted to dispel the misconception that they were solely luxury items.

Despite only launching in the last few years, Sammon explained that the brand has now decided to re-launch to ensure it offers a more affordably priced product compared to competitor brands.

He explained: “Wödår is dedicated to offering consumers the best possible quality and design for their kitchen instant hot taps and premium kitchen taps.

“We constantly want to improve and have spent a lot of time re-designing our full range over the last 12 months to offer a more reasonable luxury product compared to Quooker and other market leaders.”

Discussing the details of the company’s re-launch this year, Sammon said: “We have introduced new features on the trade portal to give retailers, installers, architects and designers access to our full range.

“We are also pleased to offer competitive terms for Wödår partners, including up to 70% discount and inclusion on an intuitive stockist locator. We are also excited to add matching luxury stainless steel sinks and kitchen hardware to the Wodar offering later this year.

Sammon concluded that Wödår’s ambition was “to be one of the market leading kitchen brands over the next 5 years.”
